Statement

My work is deeply influenced by my personal experiences and emotions.  I work in a variety of mediums, and I don’t have a favorite!  In my artwork I strive to capture the essence of my subjects, whether it be a landscape, a still life, or a portrait. I use a variety of techniques, such as layering, blending, and crosshatching, to create rich, vibrant textures and depth. My work is inspired by the play of light and shadow, the subtle nuances of color, and the intricate details of nature.  I believe that art has the power to transport us, inspire us, and awaken both the artist and the viewer to the beauty of the world around us.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and I continued to study at The Art Students League, SUNY Purchase, Katonah Art School, as well as studying with Daniel Greene and Wende Caporale.  I love to draw and paint from the model, I was lucky to find the NODG during COVID.  The more I paint the more I want to paint.
